Cordant Cleaning, part of Cordant Services, has been praised for delivering a high quality service on-board a First West Yorkshire bus on display at the launch event of a new transport scheme.
The Bus 18 initiative has been created with the promise of running more punctual, customer-focused, and easy to use bus systems across Yorkshire. The county’s major bus operators, Arriva Yorkshire, First West Yorkshire and Transdev, as well as the Association of Bus Operators in West Yorkshire (ABOWY), who represent smaller operators, will now work together to improve bus services, encouraging more people to use them.
To mark Bus 18’s commitment to better customer satisfaction, any passengers not happy with their bus journey will be able to claim a free travel voucher from First West Yorkshire, Arriva Yorkshire or Transdev. In addition, customers can now call a taxi and claim the cost back from the operators if their last bus doesn’t arrive within 20 minutes of the scheduled time.
Cordant Cleaning is contracted by First Bus to provide transportation cleaning services across 12 sites throughout Scotland and Yorkshire. The company was also entrusted to provide a deep clean for the First Bus display vehicle at the Bus 18 launch, which received many compliments on its cleanliness.
David Phillips, Key Account Manager of the First Bus contract, said: “We are delighted to hear of the positive feedback First Bus received at the launch event. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with First Bus and building on the success we experienced last year.”
Paul Matthews, Managing Director at First West Yorkshire, added: “We were pleased with the support and professionalism demonstrated by Cordant Cleaning for the launch of the Bus 18 event. We look forward to continuing to work with Cordant Cleaning to offer customers a reliable and quality service.”
